Abstract 1, 1, 3, 3-Tetramethyldisiloxane (TMDS) and polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS), when associated with titanium (IV) isopropoxide, provide two convenient systems for the reduction of nitriles into the corresponding primary amines.
