摘要

An efficient method for the synthesis of N-substituted phthalisoimides, by reaction of phthalidylidene dichloride with primary amines, is described. The reactions with arylamines, arylenediamines and alkylenediamines lead to the corresponding phthalisoimides or bisphthalisoimides in nearly quantitative yields.
