Summary: The reaction of L2TiCl2 (1)(L= v5-C5H4-SiMed with 1 equiv of LiC= CC= CC& (2) yields Lz-Ti (C= CC= CC&XCl)(3). 3 reacts with 2 to afford L2Ti (C= CC= CC2H& (4a); 4a also can be prepared by treatment of 1 with 2 equiv of 2.
