Aziridines are very useful synthetic intermediates for the synthesis of functional materials and biologically active compounds. 1 For this reason, in previous studies, we developed some facile synthetic methods for producing aziridines through the introduction of an N1 unit to alkenes. 2 The reactivity of aziridines toward ring opening and expansion is dependent upon their extremely strained ring structures.
