Abstract Diaryl-substituted trifluoromethyl-1, 2, 3-triazoles have been synthesized from aromaticazides and various substituted 1-aryl-3, 3, 3-trifluoro-1-propynes. The spectroscopic characteristicsof the products and the regioselectivity of the reaction are discussed. Animproved method for the synthesis of 1-aryl-3, 3, 3-trifluoro-1-propynes from 1-aryl-2- cldoro-3, 3, 3-trifluoro-1-propenes is presented.
