Pd (OAc),(0.05 mmol) and dppe (0.05 mmol). GLC analysis showed the formation of 2- methyl-2-cyclohexenone (2s) in 85% yield with a small amount of 2-methyl-2- allylcyclohexanone (3a). Results of experiments under different conditions with several substrates are shown in Table I. In this reaction, the choice of solvent is important (entries 1- 4).
