摘要

The condensation of trifluoromethanesulfenyl chloride with aromatic compounds provides a convenient new synthesis of aryl trifluoromethgl sulfides. Activated aromatic derivatives, such as phenols or dimethylaniline, react at room temperature without a catalyst to give high yields of the corresponding p-substituted aryl trifluoromethyl sulfide.
