摘要

Results Vycor-filtered irradiation of 3.00 mmol of 1, 1, 2, 2-tetraphenylethane (1) in 1200 ml of methanol under nitrogen for 45 min with a 450-W Hanovia mercury vapor lamp caused the disappearance of 0.93 mmol of starting material as well as a yellowing of the reaction mixture. Distillation of the solvent and chromatography of the photolysis mixture on Florisil separated it into four fractions in addition to unreacted starting material. The three minor ...
