Abstract: Photolysis of 8-[o-(aryloxy) phenyl] vinyl bromides, ie, 2-[o-(aryloxy) phenyl]-1- bromo-I, Zdiphenylethenes 5, in dichloromethane gave dibenz [bfloxepins 6 quantitatively.
