New mitomycin C and porfiromycin analogues were prepared by treating mitomycin A and N- methylmitomycin A with a variety of amines, including aziridines, allylamines, propargylamines, chloroalkylamines, hydroxyalkylamines, glycine derivatives, aralkylamines, and heterocyclic amines.
