Abstract Direct reaction of 2, 2′-dilithiobibenzyl with (CH 3) 2 MCl 2 or (C 6 H 5) 2 MCl 2 where M Si, Ge, Sn, or Pb results in the formation of 10, 11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo-[b, f] metallepins.
