Abstract An efficient indium-mediated dehalogenation reaction of haloaromatics and haloheteroaromatics in ionic liquids has been studied. This method is simple and effective in the presence of [bmim] Br. Furthermore, this methodology is environmentally friendly compared with conventional ones. Keywords:
