摘要

The purpose of this paper is to correct the longstanding inaccuracies in the literature concerning the preparation and properties of 2-carboethoxy-A2-cyclohexenone (I) and some related compounds and to record an unequivocal synthesis of this interesting dihydrobenzene system.
