Abstract Tectorigenin, isolated from the rhizomes of Belamcanda chinensis, shows a wide variety of biological activities. The interest in its biological activities has been matched by a corresponding interest in its synthesis. We herein reported a convenient synthesis of tectorigenin in good yield.
