Procedure.-The apparatus consisted of a three-necked round-bottomed flask containing an inlet and outlet tube and connected with a sealed-in~ tirrer.~ The outlet was connected to a mercury sealed pressure regulator. Ordinarily, an equivalent amount of boron fluoride was added to a suspension of the acid in a solvent.
