Biological Activity

[Description]:

Antitrypanosomal agent 9 (compound 1) is a potent antitrypanosomal agent. Antitrypanosomal agent 9 shows inhibitory activity against T. b. brucei, with an IC50 of 1.15 μM. Antitrypanosomal agent 9 can be used for human African trypanosomiasis (HAT) research[1].

[In Vitro]

Antitrypanosomal agent 9 (compound 1) shows inhibitory activity against T. b. rhodesiense, T. cruzi, L. donovani, and P. falciparum, with IC50 values of 0.985 ± 0.076, 107 ± 34.5, 35.7 ± 6.22, and 22.3 ± 1.06 μM, respectively[1]. Antitrypanosomal agent 9 shows cytotoxicity in L6 cells, with an IC50 of 186 ± 94.2 μM[1].
