1. 可由三乙基氯硅烷用氢化锂或四氢锂铝还原来制取。

2. 在5升三颈烧瓶上安装高效搅拌器、滴液漏斗和大管冷凝器。后者连干冰和丙酮冷却的冷阱。用此瓶制成乙基溴化镁(12.6摩尔)的乙醚溶液。在冷却和剧烈搅件下向其中滴加406. 5克（30摩尔)三氯氢硅溶于1200毫升无水乙醚溶液。加料约需6小时。反应混合物在室温搅拌8小时，然后加热回流1小时。用20塔板柱蒸馏除去乙醚，残余物在蒸汽浴上加热10小时。加180毫升水并搅拌使之水解，然后加372毫升浓盐酸，分出水层，用2份500毫升乙醚萃取。将乙醚萃取液与产物合并，用水洗涤，然后在150克无水碳酸钾上干燥2小时，经4塔板柱分馏，得27.03克(77.5%)三乙基硅烷。
