KR-32570 is a potent sodium hydrogen exchanger NHE1 inhibitor with IC50 of 50 nM; significantly and concentration dependently improves cardiac contractile function and severe contracture in conjunction with causing a marked reduction in lactate dehydrogenase release at 1-10 uM, possesses potent cardioprotective effects in perfused rat hearts.
