OAT-177 is a potent, selective, orally active acidic mammalian chitinase (AMCase) inhibitor with IC50 of 14 and 19 nM against human and mouse AMCas, respectively, >150-fold selectivity over mCHIT1; shows significant anti-inflammatory efficacy in HDM-induced allergic airway inflammation in mice at 30 mg/kg po, reduces inflammatory cell influx in the BALF and total IgE concentration in plasma.
