Biological Activity

[Description]:

Amifampridine (3,4-Diaminopyridine) phosphate is an orally active potassium channel blocker (PCB), can block presynaptic potassium channels[1]. Amifampridine phosphate can be used in Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) research[1].

[In Vivo]

Amifampridine phosphate treatment (Intravenous injection; 2.5 mg/kg; once) shows 1 hour plasma half-life[2]. Amifampridine phosphate treatment (Oral administration; 10 mg/kg; once) shows plasma concentrations spike[2]. Animal Model: Mice[2] Dosage: 2.5 mg/kg Administration: Intravenous injection; 2.5 mg/kg; once Result: Had a plasma half-life of about 1 hour. Animal Model: Mice[2] Dosage: 10 mg/kg Administration: Oral administration; 10 mg/kg; once Result: Exhibited a rapid spike in plasma concentrations.
