Biological Activity

[Description]:

Kolavenol can be isolated from the root of Solidago altissima L. Kolavenol enantiomer has trypanocidal activity against Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense, the causative agent of the acute form of human African trypanosomiasis, with an IC50 of 2.5 μg/ml (8.6 μM)[1][2].
