Biological Activity

[Description]:

Carbostyril 124 is a sensitising chromophore. Carbostyril 124 is a reasonably effective organic sensitizer for a proximate bound terbium ion[1][2].

[In Vitro]

The characteristic metal-based luminescence was observed for europium and terbium complexes in aqueous solution following excitation of the cs124 chromophore at 320 nm[1].
