w-Conotoxin SVIB

Biological Activity

[Description]:

w-Conotoxin SVIB is a peptide toxin, it can be isolated from Conus venoms. w-Conotoxin SVIB inhibits twitch response with an IC50 value of 37 nM. w-Conotoxin SVIB induces respiratory distress and it can be lethal to mice at a high concentration[1][2].

[In Vitro]

w-Conotoxin SVIB (0.1-1000 nM; 20 min) inhibits twitch response at 0.1 Hz with an IC50 value of 37 nM[2].

[In Vivo]

w-Conotoxin SVIB (20 pmol/g; s.c. once) causes paralysis and death in fish[1]. w-Conotoxin SVIB causes mouse respiratory distress at around 70 pmol/g and it is lethal to mouse at around 300 pmol/g[1].
