Abstract

Srveral diallyl ketals were cravked in the presencr of acid and rearranged to alpha allyl- substituted ketones in high yields. The u5e of 2, 2-dimethoxypropune made possible the preparation of alpha allyl-substituted ketones from ketones and allvl alcohol without iqolation of thr intermediate diallvl ketxl.:
