Abstract
Bis (2-chloroethyl) sulfide (HD) is a potent chemical warfare agent with serious toxic effects. 1 There is no specific antidote available against HD, and antidotes that were screened in laboratory animals gave only limited protection against its systemic toxicity. 2, 3 The chemical decontamination of HD immediately after contact is still the best method of protection.
