Abstract: Zerovalent nickel complexes such as bis (1, 5-~ yclooctadiene) nickel and tetrakis (tripheny1phosphine) nickel react rapidly with aryl and vinyl halides to produce the symmetrical coupling products, a low-temperature analogue of the Ullman reaction.
