Abstract
• Chemical screening identified sulochrin as a natural product reducing HCV infection. • Sulochrin inhibited HCV entry. • The anti-HCV activity of sulochrin was conserved in different HCV genotypes. • Cotreatment of sulochrin with IFNα or telaprevir showed a synergistic anti-HCV effect. • Derivative analysis identified the structure important for anti-HCV activity.
