Abstract
Abstract The parallel kinetic resolution of racemic 1-phenylethanol using an equimolar combination of quasi-enantiomeric pentafluorophenyl esters is discussed. The levels of diastereoselectivity were excellent (> 88% de) leading to separable quasi-enantiomeric esters in good yields.
