Abstract
The Organic Laboratory of Columbia University has had under way for some time a number of investigations in the thiazole field, the results of which it hopes to publish as rapidly as opportunity permits. The plan adopted for numbering the positions on the thiazole and benzothiazole nuclei both in Richter's “Lexikon” and in the Decennial Index to Chewical Abstracts is as indicated in Formulas I and 11.
