Abstract
Abstract A highly efficient cobalt-catalyzed carbonylative approach to phenylacetic acid derivatives under one atmosphere pressure is reported. This methodology represents a useful extension of benzimidazole used as ligand in metal catalysis, and the catalytic mechanism has been proved by computer simulation.
