Abstract
Abstract Properties of Sb v and Bi v fluorides and M II F 2-M v F 5 (M v [DOUBLE BOND] Sb, Bi; M II [DOUBLE BOND] Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba), HalF 3-BiF 5 (Hal [DOUBLE BOND] Cl, Br) systems have been studied. Only M II (M v F 6) 2 and HalF 2 [BiF 6] are shown to be formed in these systems. M II (M v F 6) 2 and HalF 2 [BiF 6] contain M v F 6-octahedra in their crystal lattices. SbF 5 is found to be a stronger Lewis acid than BiF 5 and to be capable to substitute the ...
