Abstract

Drueyb reported that some polymethylene-bis-sydnones and polymethylene-bis-hydrazines showed slight tumor inhibitory activity in vivo. These facts, together with the information that 3-phenylsydnone (I, R= CaHs, R'= H) possesses antitumor properties, 6 directed our attention to the preparation and evaluation of some 3-benzylsydnones, 3-alkylsydnones and sydnone imines for the gensral program of cancer chemotherapeutic studies.
