Abstract
Results The alkyl iodides selected for study, along with the products resulting from their oxidation with 3-chloroperoxybenzoic acid, are shown in Charts 1-111. The results from oxidation in methanolic solution are summarized in Table I. Most of the alkyl iodides afforded methyl ether substitution products upon oxidation.(+)-(S)-2-Iodo-
