Abstract

• We evaluated effects of peripheral group II and III mGluR on arthritic pain of rats. • Pain behavior is relevant with reduced weight bearing and mechanical hyperalgesia. • Pre-treatment of group II and III mGluR agonist attenuated nociceptive behavior. • Post-treatment of group II and III mGluR agonist attenuated nociceptive behavior.
