Abstract
Trimethylamine dehydrofluorinates (CF,), PH, forming (CH3) 3NH2F2 and presumably CF3F= CF2, initiating a series of further reactions yielding P2 (CF3) 4r the recently described diphosphines R (CF3) PP (CF3),(in which R= CHF,, CH2F, or CHJ, the unusual new triphosphine (CF3) 2PCH2P (CF3) P (CF3) 2, and less volatile products.
