Abstract

• DHRS3 is an integral membrane protein with its C-terminus in the cytosol. • Androstenedione and estrone are substrates of DHRS3 in vitro. • DHRS3 was inserted into proteoliposomes. • Expression of DHRS3 protein was detected in the human liver, testes and small intestine.
