Abstract
Two convenient new syntheses of ferrocenoyl chloride by triphosgene were reported. Firstly, ferrocenoyl chloride was conveniently prepared in 61.5% yield when triphosgene was reacted with ferrocene carboxylic acid in methylene dichloride at room temperature in the presence of triethylamine and DMAP.
