Abstract
Electrolysis of alkenylsilanes in the presence of thiophenol with bubbling of molecular oxygen gave the corresponding α-phenylthio carbonyl compounds with the consumption of a catalytic amount of electricity. An electro-initiated radical chain mechanism is proposed.
