Abstract

Conformationally restricted analogues of the endogenous NOS substrate l-arginine and the arginine based NOS inhibitors NG-methyl-l-arginine (l-NMA) and Nδ-iminoethyl-l-ornithine (l- NIO) were synthesized for evaluation as inhibitors of human NOS.
