Abstract
The interest in aromatic nitrogen mustard derivatives as tumor inhibiting substances has led to the development of various new types. One of the most interesting is 9-[di-(2-chloroethyl)- amino]-phenylalanine (I), which was synthesized independently by Bergel and his collaborators1 who made the DL-, D-and L-forms, and also by Larionov, et a1., 2 who prepared the DL-form only.
