Abstract

The availability of bifunctional water-soluble compounds with flexible dimensions is important for the conjugation of small molecules to proteins or molecular probe^.^^'These bifunctional molecules can be used in antibody production, drug delivery, protein immobilization, and for the study of enzymea and receptor^.^ Polyethylene glycol (1) office of Naval Ressarch predoctoral fellow; AT&T Bell Labora-tories GRPW awardee.
