Abstract

It wm mentioned earlier that two compounds examined were not of the 99% purity believed true of the others. These two compounds were 2, 6-di-t-amyl-4-t-butylphenol and 2, 6-di-t- amyl-4-methylphenol. Those compounds (liquid at room temperature) were somewhat discolored and were not believed to be of high purity from their his-tory. Their infrared spectra gave interesting results in suggesting the presence of mono-substituted phenols ...
