Abstract
One of the questions addressed in that paper concerns their fragmentation (eq l), and the authors' conclusions about fragmentation, on the basis of their studies and the literature, included the f~ llowing:~(a) Fragmentation of carbonyl ylide (X= Y= H) is endothermic by about 38 kcal/mol.(b) One amino substituent (X= NH2) decreases the thermodynamic barrier to fragmentation in either sense and path a, leading to aminocarbene, may actually be ex ...
