Abstract
Our research group is actively engaged in exploring the utility of hypervalent iodine reagents especially, o-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) and Dess-Martin periodinane (DMP). 19 Recently we have reported a mild and efficient oxidative desulfurization of 1,-3-disubstituted thioureas to carbodiimides 20a and synthesis of azoles 20b by using IBX in the presence of base such as triethylamine (TEA).
