Abstract
Like configurational enantiomers, conformational enantiomers too can be isolated, provided the instrumentation for conducting low-temperature chiral chromatographic (LT-Chir HPLC) separations is available. In favorable circumstances, assignment of the absolute configuration can be achieved simultaneously if the same low temperature is maintained in the cell of a CD spectrometer that is connected to the cooled chiral column.
