Abstract

Summary 2-Alkyl-3-hydroxy-l, 4-naphthoquinones are formed, in yields varying with the nature of the alkyl halide employed, in the reaction of the silver salt of hydroxynaphthoquinone with allyl, cinnamyl, benzyl, diphenylmethyl, and triphenylmethyl halides.
