Abstract: The catalysis of the decomposition of p-cyano-N, N-dimethylaniline N-oxide (NO) with meso-(tetraphenylporphinato) iron (III) chloride [(TPP) Fe"'Cl] has been studied at 25 OC in CH2Cll with [Noli= 5.0 X lo4 to 8.0 XM>[(TPP) Fetl'Cl],= 3.0 X to 5.0 X lo4 M.
