Abstract

Poly (pyridine-2, 5-diyl), an insoluble yellow powder, shows efficient photocatalysis under visible light (λ> 400 nm) towards water and some carbonyl compounds in the presence of triethylamine as a sacrificial electron donor, yielding H2 and corresponding alcohols, respectively.
