Abstract
Based on our formal ligand concept as shown in Scheme 1 we became attracted by the possibility to test formamidine ligands instead of imidazole to improve the epoxidation of aromatic olefins. Notably, the formamidine motif allows easy ligand tuning by substitution of the “amine” part and variation of substituents on the “imine” nitrogen (Scheme 1).
