Abstract
Chiral 1-ethynylbenzylamines (1) are important building blocks for the stereoselective synthesis of numerous biologically active compounds, such as conformationally restricted peptide isosteres, 1 oxotremorine analogues, 2 and benzo [b] furan compounds of general structure 2 (eq 1), which have been shown to display antifungal and aromatase inhibiting activities. 3
